Nice at first, quickly tarnishes

I bought this pendant for myself and the original presentation was wonderful, I thought I had stumbled across a lovely piece of jewelry. However, the pendant quickly tarnished on the back side and turned a very green color. The pendant does not have the .325 inscription but instead has 'sterling bl1'. The tarnish has now completely covered that inscription. I am not sure how much sterling silv

I ordered this for my husband for Christmas. He always wore a St. Christopher when we first started dating, but the chain broke a couple of years ago. I am very pleased with this purchase. The picture does not do it justice. It is absolutely beautiful! Very brilliant silver! Looks great on him!
