Platinum Rings Frequently Asked Questions

Last updated April 7, 2017
Why are these prices so low?
Since 2005, we've sold thousands of platinum rings to our customers in the USA and Canada. Thanks to our high sales volume, we have negotiated significant discounts with the leading platinum ring factories in the world. Each item ships factory direct and is of the same high quality that you would find at a local jeweler.
How do I figure out my ring size?
We strongly suggest that you visit a local professional jeweler and have the finger sized with standard and comfort fit ring sizers. If this is a gift for a loved one, we suggest taking a ring that you know fits them, and have it sized by a professional jeweler.
How wide are your rings in inches?
Millimeters
Inches
3mm= .118in
4mm= .157in
5mm= .197in
6mm= .236in
8mm= .314in
Are rings available in different widths?
Yes, we offer a variety of mm widths for each ring style we sell. The factory uses sophisticated 3-dimensional modeling to accommodate these special requests. Please call 1-877-569-5957 or email us for pricing.
How much do your rings weigh?
The platinum weight varies according to ring size and ring style chosen. That said, all of our styles use a generous amount of platinum to ensure longevity, comfort and luxury. Please email us for details.
Do you offer custom made platinum rings?
We are pleased to offer exceptional custom services for platinum rings. Please email us with pictures, specifications and your specific requirements. Please allow 2-3 weeks for all custom made platinum rings. Note: all sales are final for all custom orders.
Why do you use Platinum 950 with Ruthenium instead of Iridium?
We sell platinum rings in 95% Platinum / 5% Ruthenium or Cobalt. These alloys are more durable, scratch resistant, and expensive than the common Platinum / Iridium blends. Because the Platinum 950 Ru / Co is harder to cast, many of our competitors favor the Iridium alloys. Platinum 950 Ru has a slightly higher Vickers hardness rating than platinum with iridium (135 vs 80 assuming 5% alloy). Platinum is commonly alloyed with iridium or ruthenium to make up the other 5 to 10% of the ring. Because these alloys are both precious metals in the platinum metal group, platinum is hypoallergenic and ideal for anyone with sensitive skin.
